Special Awards
Performing Arts
This perpetual award is presented to the Pimpama State Secondary College student who has demonstrated outstanding effort and achievement throughout the year in Performing Arts.
Citizen & Innovator Award
The Citizen & Innovator Award recognises a student who has a comprehensive understanding of the community, has designed an innovative way to improve it and has demonstrated outstanding achievement and effort.
Entrepreneur Award
The Entrepreneur Award recognises a student who has demonstrated innovative thinking and empathetic design to improve social cohesion and wellbeing within our local community.
Aurora VETiS Student of the Year Award
The Aurora VET in Schools Awards goes to a student who is nominated by their teacher for extremely high levels of contribution to class and training discussions and mature conduct during all aspects of the course. They are punctual and always submit their assessment on time and to a high level.
External Studies Award
This award recognises the senior secondary student who has excelled in the field of vocational education and training.  Not only does the student demonstrate academic excellence in their chosen VET subject, but they also exemplify exceptional attitude, professionalism and work ethic in the workplace whilst completing a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship.
Mark Hammel Community Award
Each year, Councillor Mark Hammel sponsors the Community Award which recognizes a Junior School student who contributes positively to the both the school and wider community.
Michael Crandon Commitment Award
The College has enjoyed great support from Mr Michael Crandon who continues show an active interest in the school and who has sponsored the Michael Crandon dedicated commitment award. The award recognises two students from Year 7 who show ongoing commitment and excellence in representing the College values in the school and the wider community.
Cameron Caldwell Leadership Award
Mr Cameron Caldwell has been kind enough to offer a Leadership Award to the College for the student who demonstrates positive leadership within the school environment.
Long Tan Awards
The Australian Defence Force Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Awards started in 2006, and aims to recognise students who demonstrate leadership and teamwork within both the school and the local community. The awards are an important initiative by the Australian Government in conjunction with the Australian Defence Force designed to encourage senior students – tomorrow’s leaders – to actively participate in the life of their schools and local communities.
Ampol Best All-Rounder
For over a quarter of a century, the Ampol Best All-Rounder Award has earned a reputation for being one of Australia’s most respected secondary education recognition programs. It has been presented to thousands of students, acknowledging their all-round contributions to their schools and communities.
John Thornberry –Community, Values & Leadership Award
As the foundation principal, Mr John Thornberry has established a school preparing students for the 21st century. The recipient of this award embodies his vision of student engagement, demonstrating community values and leadership.
